To clean the piston and cylinder: disassemble your engine (follow the assembly instructions backward) until you have removed the piston from the cylinder. Wipe the piston with a paper towel and clean the inside of the cylinder with a rolled-up sausage of paper towel. Make sure there are no stray fibres either on the piston or in the cylinder and reassemble your engine as per assembly instructions.
