42. Take a large coin and place as shown onto the top of the displacer stem. Taking care to keep the edge of the coin on the top of the stem, gently press downwards on the stem until the eye at the top of the connecting rod lines up at 6 o'clock. There is a small amount of flex in the connecting rod, you should be able to take advantage of this and "over-press" the top of the stem so that when you release the pressure on the coin the displacer lifts off the bottom plate slightly.
