25. Align the pillar holes in the base plate with the bottoms of the brass chamber pillars. If you have an aluminium or stainless steel engine you might also like to locate the surface grain in the base plate and align with the surface grain in the top plate. there is only one way both grain and pillars will align together. Acrylic plates (shown) do not have surface grain. Take care that the O rings stay seated in the rebates. Note - if you have acrylic plates you will need to remove the protective film from both sides of the plate before assembly.
